About the Event
Data protection professionals, lawyers, data protection officers, academics, and students were addressed by France's data protection authority, the CNIL, during the second edition of the Rencontres Informatique & Libertés on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The morning event featured two main roundtables examining regulatory challenges posed by connected glasses and evaluating the role of enforcement sanctions under the General Data Protection Regulation, drawing on CNIL's 2025 record of 83 sanctions totaling 487 million euros.
