About the Event

The IBA Human Rights Law Committee, supported by DanChurchAid and various International Bar Association (IBA) entities, will host a film screening of 'Eternal Sentinel' and panel dialogue on 7 October 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark, during the IBA Annual Conference. Directed by Maryam Ashrafi, the documentary addresses the enduring impact of landmines and improvised explosive devices on civilians, including children and journalists, in regions such as Syria and Iraq. Following the screening, leading practitioners in international human rights law and humanitarian protection will participate in a panel discussion and Q&A session. Attendance is complimentary, but advance registration is required by 5 October 2026.
