About the Event
The ASA Mining & Commodities Group, co-chaired by Diana Akikol and Florian Mohs, will host its launch event titled 'Geopolitical Disruptions in Commodities Trading: Force Majeure, Hardship and Contractual Risk Allocation' in Zurich on 21 October 2026. The event serves as a forum for arbitration practitioners and industry professionals to discuss substantive and procedural issues in mining and commodities disputes. Featuring a presentation by Prof. Dr. iur. Ulrich Schroeter on economic sanctions under Swiss law, as well as a panel discussion with Pascal Hachem, speakers will address force majeure, hardship, sanctions disruptions, and risk allocation strategies.
