About the Event
The French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) will hold its 'air 2026' public debate event on 16 November 2026 at 14:00, focusing on digital ethics, political communications, foreign interference, and election integrity. Mandated by the 2016 Law for a Digital Republic to conduct societal and ethical reflections on digital technologies, CNIL hosts two roundtables featuring experts from CNIL, Arcom, VIGINUM, CNRS, Check First, and Expert Forum. Discussions will cover voter consent, GDPR data minimization, the EU regulation on transparency and targeting of political advertising, generative AI risks, and foreign information manipulation.
