Tan Ling Sun is a Senior Counsel of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and a member of the ICC Committee on Arbitration and ADR. He is the former Global Head of Arbitration of an international law firm and a past President of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb).
Mr. Tan Ling Sun is qualified in Malaysia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. He has a broad commercial practice, including technical disputes, maritime law (transport and logistics), international trade, insurance, and corporate law. In addition, he has worked in the air cargo industry. Mr. Tan Ling Sun has acted as counsel or arbitrator in arbitrations under special and institutional rules such as ICC, SIAC, SCMA, LMAA, ICDR, CIETAC, HKIAC, and KCAB in Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, China, Korea, Malaysia, London, and the United States. He is a Chartered Arbitrator and the Chairman of the Arbitration Panel jointly appointed by the EU and Korea under the Korea-EU Free Trade Agreement Protocol on Cultural Cooperation. He has also served as a legal officer at the UN Compensation Commission in Geneva.
